1988 Suzuki GSX 600 Katana

This is one of those projects that I'd never get finished. Bike runs fine, just has carb trouble. I've fiddled with the carbs, used pieces off the second set that came with it, I bought and installed new float valve assemblies, but I think the idle circuits are still gummed up and the carbs need to be stripped down and dipped. Pretty much just wont idle, and I dont have the time + patience to mess with it any more. I could be out riding another bike. If you have a spare set of carbs, or can get these cleaned out, you'll be on the road in a couple of evenings worth of work.

I just have too many other bikes and projects, and I could definately use the space in my garage. Bike has 54K miles. I rode it once after I bought it and put a new battery in it, (still has a charge!) was sputtering and hardly idling as the needles were leaking and it was continuously flooding. But man, did it fly! I dont need to go this fast. ;)

I've also adjusted the valves. (PITA!) Bike is at least 99% complete, I have all the pieces to the best of my knowledge, all boxed and the nuts and bolts in cans and tupperware. Pictured is the WORST of the plastic, a previous owner dropped it at low speed.

Good tires, new rear rotor and pads in box of parts, stainless lines up front. Brand new throttle cable.

Clean title in my name, presently non-opped.

I think I've covered everything, if not, please email me.

All you need to do is solve the carb issue, put back the airbox and seat and plastics, then go ride it.

Maybe swap out the rear brakes... recall those parts are included.

$500 obo, trade for diesel Mercedes or pre-'73 jeep.

Feel free to send me lowball ofeers, just dont wait for me to reply. ;)

If you are serious, you'll include your phone number when you email!

Thanks.
